Love and Lace

It's time for our weekly window post and our lovely window boxes have been replaced, ready for summer, making our windows even more beautiful and colourful. This week our beauties are (from left) Selina by Justin Alexander, a gorgeous lace gown with waist details. Giving you a stunning shape for your big day and adding a bit of sparkle to make sure all eyes are on you.

Our gorgeous centre piece is our Sarah Mooshki dress, a fun, short dress for brides who want to mix things up on their big day. Another beautiful lace number with a stunning back to show off the details and elegance of this beauty.

Our third stunner is one of our glorious fairytale dresses, Heidi from the lovely Naomi Neoh. We love this perfect peach gown, adding a subtle colour to the traditional white wedding dress. Glowing a wonderful light peach colour, this is perfect to add some tone and for those with paler skin this is beautiful against pale complexions.

If there is any of your favourite brands that we stock that you would like us to feature in our windows let us now, we'd love for you to be involved!

Something Blue Part 1

This is the first mini post on our "something blue" inspiration for you all. Our beautiful blue pieces shouldn't always be hidden away or something so small no one notices it... why not show off your blue beauties in all their glory, starting with some super hot blue accessories!

Our gorgeous Mimosa heels in powder blue leather by Rachel Simpson are exactly what you need to make your feet pop and give a flash of blue on your big bag, not everything has to be white or match your theme, sometimes it's fun to break the rules. We love a pop of colour but why not match them up a bit with some delicate blue nails with our boho stamps over the top to take it down a tone? The perfect way to tie in some small but beautiful details that adds to everything being perfect.

Remember on Mondays we have drop in appointments so no need to book just pop in and see our lovely beauty therapist Amy for your super hot bridal nails! OR drop her an email to book in the week: Amy Griffiths bridalhousebeautyparlour@gmail.com

We're looking forward to meeting you beautiful brides!

The Choice Is Yours...

We love changing our windows to show off our glorious gowns and we thought we would start sharing them with you. This week our favourites were these absolute beauties...from left is our gorgeous LM Sophia gown which is a new addition to our store. A floor length full lace dress, definitely a kick on the traditional look which we think is super HOT!

On centre stage is our flawless Naomi Neoh Rosalind dress, the perfect english bride head turner. A floaty princess feel with the more elegant movement, one we completely adore. No fuss with this lady but who needs detail when it speaks for itself?

Last but not least is our more traditional dress by Claire Pettibone, the stunning Patchouli gown. With her glorious mid sleeves it's the perfect dress to show off the lace detail and feel fabulous.

Which is your favourite?

Our Boho Bride Guide

The Boho Bride is one of our personal favourites and everyone does their boho look differently. We have put together a little boho bride guide to inspire those who are after this kind of relaxed, chilled and laid back wedding.

Our main focus is of course the wedding dress. We chose one of our most popular and favourite Claire Pettibone dresses from their Romantique Collection; the stunning Gardenia gown. These dresses are best described by Claire Pettibone and phrased in such a way you picture the dresses in the most classic and timeless places without even seeing the whole collection, "A little Moroccan Villa, a touch English garden - timeless with a vintage vibe, polaroid-soft light and lavender fields". We couldn't have put it more enchanted if we tried. The Gardenia gown has dramatic floral lace with sheer back, satin lining and re-embroidered appliques. All the dream-like ingredients to our perfect boho gown.

We chose soft colours for our bridesmaids to create a romantic colour palette that compliments the bride but still adds a little colour. And with our gorgeous flower girl dresses this adds a dash of brighter colour yet still tying in with lace and floral detail.

Bridal shoes are also something you don't have to freak out about, and do NOT have to be white. We thought to match the desaturated colours we would go with a pale pink shoe with floral detail, the Apple Blossom design by Hassall, adding some beauty to your toes.

No bridal guide would be complete without all the little details you don't always remember. We chose the prettiest underwear to slide under the dress by the beautiful ShellBelle Couture along with a special baby blue garter by our favourite local designer Anna D'Souza who can create any bespoke bridal piece to create perfection even in the smallest details to make you feel like the only bride in the world on your big day. Also keeping the something blue not so hidden away we added some visible blue flashes in the necklace from Tegen Jewellery and matching them to baby blue lace detailed nails. These go wonderfully against the gown and just something different to the boho bride. These super hot nails were done in house in our new Beauty Parlour.

We really have thought of everything for our boho brides and we hope this inspires you to come in and let us help and advise you on your big day from the gown to the tiny details.

We are SO excited to introduce you all to our beautiful in house Beauty Parlour that specialises in bridal make up and super hot bridal nails. We couldn't be more excited about this launching and will be updating you with all our make up looks and nail art that we create.

This set of bridal nails are a set we played around with on friday with our blogger Crystal. With her fair skin we chose the stunning baby blue colour and a boho lace overlay for the more relaxed and delicate themed weddings. We started with the plain blue, which would be perfect for your "something blue" on the big day. We then added an accent nail with the one finger manicure which so many brides are favouring right now and is proving very popular.
To mix the look up a little, and after we got carried away with printing, we laced all of her fingers to create an inspirational and delicate look.
